about

The Hurricane iii ep (pronounced Hurricane three ep) is a trilogy, a somewhat tragic trilogy. It all started in 2011 when Hurricane Irene flooded my house. It destroyed most of my belongings and damaged the house severely. After months of rebuilding I once again called 1st Ave. home. To remember this, I wrote a little song called Irene, which is on my album "Wires, Liars and Cryers". This is a newly remastered version. Almost a decade later in 2020, Hurricane Isaias came up the east coast and rocked my home, almost to the point of no return. Much like Irene, the rebuilding process was long and hard, but I was able to call 1st Ave. home once more. Shortly thereafter I wrote Isaias (Cloudy on 1st Avenue). One year later on September 1, 2021 Hurricane Ida came through and dealt a decisive and final blow. It was the "mother" of all storms. With flood levels of record proportions, the properties on 1st Ave. didn't stand a chance. With that my latest storm song Ida concludes the trilogy, one that spans over a decade. The album cover says all you need to know about Ida. While I can't call 1st Ave. home again, The Hurricane iii ep gives me some closure and hope for better days.
